Every year, I promise to do better about sorting and preparing everything to do my taxes, and every year I fall behind and stress out at tax time.* But not this year. This year I've started a ritual that made taxes easy and mostly stress-free.

Self-Employed Estimated Taxes IRS website.

How to find get the estimated taxes that you paid for this year (or whatever year you need).
Call 800 829 1040 to get the amount verbally. You’ll want to choose all the options that let you talk to an agent. When you get a live person, ask them for the dates and amounts of your estimated tax payments for the year you want. Then, order a transcript for later so you have written proof of how much you paid in estimated taxes.
